Creating Power through Change
October - 2003 Article 10-2

Many wonder why some folks are more successful than others….why some get what they want and some don’t… many attribute this to destiny or fate. Destiny and Fate are two subject matters one in the same that will be brought up on another date… No matter what magickal worker that you may go to…no spell that you may try and cast… it is “You” that must hold the power within to change your pattern of thought to even accept or live with your wanted glory so that you may indeed continue the enjoyment of your desire. Just imagine…the typical one of many reasons why many seek the path of spells and such:
    • Money. If you go to a worker of spells to create some path for you to attain riches and it in fact does happen…what happens if before this spell was created and before you were a habitual gambler? Inevitably you would at some point be compelled to gamble your funds away because of the euphoria of having so much to spend you may loose track of how much money was left and before you knew it you’d be back to where you once begun… you should get the “picture” here…

If you really want to Create change or improve your life then you must nurture and develop your mind. In order to do this, you need to work with your conscious mind -- which has a direct link to your subconscious. You must learn how to work with both -- so that they work together as a team -- then you will truly create the life you want.

Unfortunately most people think that in order to change their life or grow as a human being all they need to do is set goals, plan things ahead, manage their time better, say an affirmation or two, become more disciplined, work with a daily planner and a goal minder, etc., etc., etc. Of course many of these methods are tools to the beginnings of your great journey to Change…But as I have said far too many times it must begin from within. From my vast experience I must say that by just setting a goal does not change ones mind as you are still left with your mindset as before you had even set out your goal or had failed to achieve it.

Many people are afraid of Change because it introduces uncertainty. It sets the stage for the “unknown”… If Change were not important the harvest would not be…The seasons would not exist. Change is a part of growth. Growth is life and therefore “Natural”. We are all natural beings no matter how different we may be. In fact without change ones life would almost be comatose. So breathe the air of Change as it brings about new beginnings for you to grow and learn from.

One of the best ways to create change is by using affirmations. Affirmations are simple statements that you say to yourself over and over again. Through constant repetition your subconscious mind picks up the message and you start taking action to create change. It's a way of changing behavior to achieve your goal. Affirmations create Positive Thinking -- which leads to greater change. You must know that in your spiritual work and everyday personal life this is the foundation to the success of any spell and or motivation in attaining anything.

But too often people use affirmations that are too long, awkward or difficult to remember. In the end they say the affirmations once or twice a day and then forget about it. In the end your affirmations have no power. After a while you wonder what happened and say the affirmations didn't work. Well, they didn't -- because they were the wrong affirmations.

Affirmations or “positive” thinking in ones work promotes desired results. This is so important when performing all things needed to attain ones deepest aspirations. By creating the change within yourself through your affirmations and “WILL” you can become unstoppable to attaining your goals. If it is rituals, spells, magick, etc. that you are performing your spiritual relationships will become clearer than before and your targets even more successful!.

Putting limits on oneself in our physical world and that of you are “aware” of in the spirit world may block you in attaining what it is that you desire… One very famous saying of “emptying ones cup” is very true in the since that if it is negative it is best to “loose” it in my opinion and make room for that which causes positive change rather than to be anchored by that which does not attribute to ones betterment. Part of this anchor is our inability to use our minds to it’s fullest ability.

Doctors and scientists now firmly believe that 75% of all sickness and disease starts in the mind. Researchers have also proven that stress, which starts in the mind, is the number one cause of all fatigue and illness. Scientists have also proven that we only use 10% of our mind. The rest is never used properly. That means 10% of our mind is causing 75% of all sickness -- and we don't even know how to use that 10% properly. Imagine what would happen if we used our mind to it's fullest? We would stop getting sick and live healthier, more productive lives. The work that you put into your spiritual endeavors would gain a purpose as you are fulfilled each and every time rather than just the mechanics of preparation and performance.

On the next part of my mini series I will offer you key words of affirmations that have worked for me and others that I have grown to admire…Perhaps you already have words of affirmation that currently help you!
